Teton Club Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary in 2019
At the annual international rally being held this year September 24 to October 1 in Oklahoma City the club
celebrates 30 years (1990 - 2019) of A Family of Friends.
The club was started by Boots Ingram, founder of
Teton Homes, and the owners to promote the RV lifestyle. The club has remained vibrant and active thru the years
even with Teton Homes being sold in 2005 and closing the doors in 2008.
This years rally will be speical
as all past and present club members are invited. Normally only present members can attend club rallies.
Oklahoma City was choosen because it is in the middle of the country and many of the past members don't RV any longer so we made special
arrangements with some of the area hotels for thoses without RVs. Being in the center of the country makes traveling to the Rally
easy for every one.
Teton Club International Becomes an FMCA Chapter
At the annual meeting last year in Kieler, WI the
membership voted to begin the process of becoming an
FMCA chapter. As of June 19th TCI, is an FMCA chapter in the
international region. TCI is part to the
FMCA international region because it has
members in the US and Canada. This is a great accomplishment for TCI as
it will help the club in maintaining and growing its membership. Plus
giving
us insurance coverage at it rallies to protect our members.
Thanks again to FMCA for all the help that we received in the process of
becoming a chapter.
TCI Supports Local Charity At It's Annual Rally
Each
year at the annual rally the rally master picks a local charity to lend support
too. The club raffles off items to the membership during the week long rally,
all the money collected is
given to the chosen charity.
The 2018 rally master Tudy Jacobson chose the Jamestown Volunteer Fire & EMS which covers the Kieler, WI.
The club was able to raise $2000.
Thanks to the generoiity of the members we are able to give support to the communities we visit.
TCI Members Chosen as GoodSam RVer Of The Year
Bill and France Moriarty joined TCI in 2002 and have been active in both the International and Regional
areas of the club. They take the club moto "A Family Of Friends" to heart, they are alway willing to help with trailer or tow vehicle
issues, and it doesn't stop there the they have been part of Habitat For Hummity for over a decade. Not only do they help build
home for those in need but they are very active in disaster relief. Bill and France owned a very successful construction business
which they sold and started using their skill to help others. Congratulation on being selcted as Good Sam RVer Of The Year and thanks
for your dedication to helping those in need throughout our country.
